Correct, later transition on entry to clip 1st point should have put u on an ideal line to make the best attempt to link the long lefter, i was disgusted cause it was only in my 2nd qualifying lap i got the entry perfect but fukin didnt brush off enough speed then down the hill and spun, talk about disgusted

My only complaint of the weekend was getting 4practise laps and straight into qualifying A lot of €€€'s for 6 poxy runs.
Although i know because the time was tighter due to Super Series and things ran later than they should have.

ya i have to agree with you there danni, between tyres fuel travel and entry for a few laps makes it very costly.should have maybe run it over 3 days or some night drifting

The drifting finished at 8.20pm sat evening and at that stage the cops had been in twice to close it down. The last warning was given until 8.15pm so 5mins later wasn't so bad.

In fairness they did run as much as possible on the sat to make way for the sundays entertainment but knowing the pressure they'd be on it should have started way earlier with the Amateurs or even moved the Amateurs to another day like they cancelled it last year at Mondello due to the weather and never re-ran it

sorry for the late reply here but just have to say something bout the wall and that.......

i know a lot of guys are giving out bout havin a solid wall on the outside and all that but basically something like that had to be done to seperate the men from the boys......

the wide clip has been taken direct from america and is definatly more excitin than trying to get to a cone at the inside of a bend.... and at the end of the day prodrift is a show and there no.1 aim is to keep the crowd happy and entertained......

Along with the super lap this is one of the best things prodrift have done this year!!

Ah yeah its defo a huge crowd pleaser the way PD have some clipping points on the outside of the track and it seperates the men from the boys etc but could it also seperate the guys with a huge team backing them and those who havnt the money to keep repairing the car if they try to hard to please the crowd?!!

Great driving btw Nigel, will be shouting for ya for the year!
    Loving the car too

I think this is a bit of an unfair comment considering noones car is ever covered 100% regardless of what sponsors they have and dont have.

If a driver aint willing to try improve his/her driving skills and tackle the wall, they dont have to, they're just not going to do well at that event, simple. U can be careful if you like or u can attack it, all depends how well you'd like to try finish.

Plus tbh I think its great for focusing on "control" of the car, if u dont have a wall you will always nearly run a bit wider because u can and up to this year we've all been able to put the noses of the car on clips, its nice to have changes.
The barriers take no prisoners so u have to be on the ball or u is in the wall!

    Thanks for the support Jay!!

Peoples idea of big backing teams are all wrong to be honest.... There is no team in prodrift that has huge backing and there is no driver that just "arrives and drives".......

Just speaking for myself..... everything i do revolves around drifting.....Every single penny i have at the mo is wrapped up in drifting in some way or form..... for 6 months of the year im either drifting or working on my car.....

The General Public dont see what goes on behind the scenes and is by no means glamarous!!

Drifting in Ireland is nowhere near a professional sport and i dont think ever will be but we are all in it because we are passionate about it!!

BTW this is not a dig at what you said jay... im just explaining the reality as a lot of people have refered to "big budget teams" this year!!

As for the wall....... if your worried bout your car in drifting you wont be competitive...... end of..... at the end of the day its a motorsport and motorsport costs money no matter what way u look at it..... granted the wall will cause more expense if you get it wrong but the standard here is too high and drifting needs to be made harder to sort good drivers from bad drivers........
