Great weekend, except for wreckin the car off the wall thats the joys of it tho i suppose! Some top notch drifting from all drivers, ffrench was on fire all day great to see him win.I thought the judging was a bit harsh to be honest with most non seeded guys scoring low.

Drifting:Because soccer, tennis, football ,hurling etc only require one ball.......

You's are right there lads.. Some very harsh judging today, especialy the battle between Damien McBride in the big blue Chaser and whoever it was he was out against..

Oh, and satnav's definately sound like the trick for a few of those boys... Ahem Jonny P... lol

Thats ALWAYS the way it is in pro-drift lads ALWAYS, half your points are decided on your name

I suppose a bit of favouritism is hard to avoid, considering its the big names that draw the crowds, and the same names that sponsor such events...

Not much we can do about it, apart from stand back and wish we were out there with them

Well its fairly gutting thinking you did enough and not make the top 16!Where they were starting us from was stupid anyway not enough distance to pull 3rd and we said it to graham 'oh its too dangerous' and yet the pros were given nearly the full length

Im going to be dumb here, but whats this between ceded Top and un-ceded Top 16?

Is it a matter of Division 1 and Division2 kinda seperation between drivers or what?

Come on lads FFS, ye sound like a bunch of contrary little bitches ! (I mean that in a loving sort of way )

If PD was based on who you were, then why didn't Eric or Shane Lynch qualify for Top 16 ? The judges laid down EXACTLY what they wanted the drivers to do, some could but most couldn't. Not many people were getting the clipping zone under the judges tower, which was used as two clips, both in and out. Some seemed to be struggling with the two in the teardrop as well. It doesn't matter if you go out with loads of speed / smoke and angle, if your not on your clipping points your at nothing.

As regards to Non-Seed scoring low, they're judged exactly the same as if they were in seeded if you get me ? So a 95 point run in amateur, non-seeded and seeded is the exact same run. There is no individual class scoring.

Judges make decisions on what they see and we're not always going to agree with them. That's the beauty of the beast, it would be such a boring sport if everything was determined by driftboxes as we would have nothing to talk and argue about afterwards !

The Super Series was the best event I've covered since D1 in 2006. The Superlap is the best addition to drifting since Tsuiso. The driving was spectacular, Ffrench was on a different level to everyone else, even driving a stock engined S14. It just re-enforces the fact that drifting isn't about the horsepower, it's all about the driver !
