    Default 1990 200SX Daily Driver

Bought my first s-body and first non-BMW RWD toy

    1990 200SX with 55k miles (unlikely ha)

Being on the other side of the country I was fairly worried about wasting time going to see it but it turned out to be a pretty good car. Boot lid is rusted away but other than that rust is fairly minimal and it's an original Irish car.

It's completely standard except for a shitty steering wheel and a welded diff

Plans are for it to be a cheap low budget but fairly sweet looking daily

There's a few issues to sort out:

    Turbo gasket is blowing
Speedo and temperature guage have a mind of their own
Body wise it needs a new boot lid plus there is a small rust spot on the roof and one on the inner sill both can be fixed fairly handy.
Interior needs a strip, wash and a big air freshener

Can't afford to spend much on it but after that ideally what I want is:

    Cheap Coilovers
    Cheap Wheels
Kouki Kit (depending on how much they go for nowadays)
Respray (most likely staying red, possibly a darker red tho)

After all of this she should be a very nice road car

Also I'll be pulling the engine anyway (may as well paint the bay) - so was thinking of doing the big end bearings, purely because of the horror stories I've heard. Their cheap enough anyway plus I really don't think the mileage is genuine. Thoughts on this? Anything else I should be doing to the engine reliability wise?

I've been toying with the idea alright. But I much prefer the kouki kit, I really don't like the front end at the moment, and I'm afraid that a lip won't be enough to change my mind. Altho some of the cars in the pics look pretty sweet.

Won't be making a decision or buying anything till next week anyway so it could go either way depending on what sort of money I can get Kouki bits for..

liking this!,keep the standard bumpers, way too many uras kitted ones about, plenty low and it will look class, ignore the horror stories about the big end too,, have had plenty ca engined ones,, never had one give up,, dont go mad with the boost though, 11-12psi will be fine, have some wheels that might suit you too,

get some 32gtr wheels spacers, bit of camber up front and low. and that would be a nice car. and like what everyone has said, keep the stock kit
