    Got my running gear today...

    Ae101 GZE
    Motor runs 12psi with a T3 pully and a 0.8mm TRD head gasket.
    HKS Mushroom filter
    Custom 1GGZE intercooler and piping.
    212mm silvertop flywheel and exedy heavy duty clutch
    ADM T50
    Cusco Solid Engine Mounts
    TRD Exhaust Mani.

    Got a cusco brake stopper and have ae86 top mounts on the way!
    Must get the box and block cleaned up and change all the gaskets as theres for leaks around,il give the starter and alternator a rebuild and paint to clean them up also while there out... Also picked up a ae86 crossmember so must get that and the gearbox member all cleaned and painted up...hopefully have the engine fitted next weekend...

    Started stripping down the engine tonight...damn gze's there so much shit... Just gonna everthing a quick clean and paint,put a gasket kit in as ive a few oil leaks...

    Got everything painted up today...t50 came out amazing!







    Then i went to clean the sump to make a new gasket and heard a dreaded rattle...found these sitting in the bottom..


    So turned her over and had a look,turns out there the thrust washers and when the broke for whatever reason the took out two oil squirters and cracked a tiny piece of the piston skirt on number 3, also loads of marks under the pistons but bores seem to be spotless? I heard the engine running and there wasnt a geek outta it and done acomp test and showed 170ish on all 4...what causes a thrust washer to fail?? Dunno where to go from here,il get a pair of washers next week and throw them in but should i pull off the mains to check them or is my crank fucked already?

    So now with this set back have new thrust washers ordered,must find some squirters and hopefully get em all fitted and just cross my fingers that my crank is okay,and take a chance and whack it back together...major fuckup tho,will prob need new bottom end unfortunately!!
