    Default Noob questions

drifting is something I would like to try, but won't be able to for a while due to time constraints. But there are a few things I would like to know before I ever get a car.

    Do you need:

Roll cages built to certain standard?
    External kill switches?
    Plumbed in extinguishers?
Certain spec seats and belts? ( Do they need to be in date like rallying?)

Typically how much is entry for a day drifting? many tracks about ?

Do you need to do medicals or apply for any sort of licence?

Roll cages built to certain standard? only for competitions but i would recommend a bolt in one for practice days..
External kill switches? only for competitions
Plumbed in extinguishers? only for competitions
Certain spec seats and belts? fixed back seats and a 4 point harness ( Do they need to be in date like rallying?) nope.

Typically how much is entry for a day drifting? many tracks about ? depends on your driving really. but entry is about 130 and then tires fuel and getting the car there...

Do you need to do medicals or apply for any sort of licence? no
