Yeah John was always a good man to get clean cars, he has another one locked up alright,it was the black one he had at track days . Think he bought that one and then sold my one to his sister as he didn't want to wreck it!! Great driver alright!!

As far as I know he is over in Thailand with a few years, comes back every once in a while!!!

Well had an hour to spare again today so went about fitting my boost gauge, which I picked up for €20 in the box of Scoupe, sound man!!

Pretty cool gauge , dose the whole "opening ceremony" like the Defi gauges, giving a sweep of the needle the full way around the gauge!!

Must suss out the buttons next , but I found which one too recall the highest reading which is handy instead of trying to keep your eye on it at full boost!!!!

Not sure what I should be getting as a reading on it, with the spec I had, stock t25 and actuator, or how accurate the gauge is. The max reading I was getting on recall is .8 bar

Probably going to move it down a bit more in line with the other gauges , but I just didn't want to land it on the dash with wires every where !

While I'd the car pulled apart I managed to sort out the turbo timer that suddenly stopped working, all it was was a corroded spay connector giving a bad connection!!

And while I was at it I pulled the abs bulb as I've given up trying to source the problem, so let's just hope the dope at the nct is half asleep when it's going for its test!!

Cheer bud, slow going but I'm getting there!!!

What reading should I be seeing on my boost gauge, might be be a stupid question but I'm a total noob to turbos, and does the reading of .8 bar indicate anything in pertecular, healthy reading, poor reading ,etc!!!

    Default Progress at last

So finally managed to get a bit of time to go at the car today, no work booked in so happy days!!

Started at 9 this morning and only finished and hour ago!!!

But got loads done, turbo gaskets sorted , braided lines, manifold gasket, oil and filter plus some fresh oil and a fresh drop of coolant/ antifrezee!!

Went the hard way about getting this out but needs must when it comes to rusty ass nuts and bolts!!

Also got the cat fitted for the nct with some new gaskets there too, broke the sensor on the decat, but I presume its only a high temp sensor??

With all the donkey work under the Bonnet sorted I could finally put it back together!!!!

Now nct it and tidy up the wheels!!!
