This was when the old engine was in it

Right i went down to Couture Auto today to get the car mapped by vtec6000 (sound lad to deal with)

Turned out the map that was on the car wasn't the best to suit it the timing was off, there was detention happening and a few other things.

Also the thermostat isn't working, the air intake has a crack in it and the cams need to be re-dialled and should get a bit more power out of the car aswell as a bit more torque, any ways im happy enough of the cars performance considering what needs to be done, the main thing i wanted is to hold the power higher in the revs and a smoother power band, which is a understatement of what vtec6000 done, the car is so smooth going up through the revs and doesn't die off higher in the revs at all instead it increases now and pulls harder through the whole gear,

After i got the mapping done i took a nice spin over to Joe in Custom Metal Works to pick up the new disks(at a great price)

Sent the car up to get washed by johno (professional valeter with savage savings, in the Dublin area anybody interested please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll put yous in touch) and was a fantastic job, I wouldn't let anybody else touch the car, the car was so dirty before hand it looked like a total different car after he finished it here are some pics

    What yous think?

Right as some of you guys know the engine went and gave up on me on the way down to mondello on the bank holiday Monday,
So I was left with 2 options either rebuild my bottom end or get a new engine, so I went for the 2nd option got in contact with vtec6000 and he sourced me a engine through cda.
The engine we decided on was a b18 off a sir integea( low compression) but use my head minus the high compression parts(head gasket, cams etc) and replace them with oem type r parts so we ended up with
A b18 sir engine with type r head for low compression with really good air flow, that was grand next on the list was a turbo set up and just as I started to look, one pops up for sale,
A hks b18 turbo kit with braided lines the works, a greddy fmic and a t25 turbo but with such a rev happy engine decided to go with a t28 turbo aswell as that I picked up fuel pump.
Now after the engine getting the work done on the head etc I needed to put a bit of milage on it before we turboed it so I got the car back on Saturday and went for a nice long drive I've 350 miles on it a the moment and the car is getting sent back to cda tomorrow to get the kit put on and mapped on Thursday hopefully, at the moment it's going to be mapped on 330 injectors so about 260ish bhp but hopefully get injectors, boost controller, external waste gate and gauges and go back for a remap and see 290ish bhp and leave it there for the time being,
I'll keep you guys updated :thumbright:

Just got the car back, it's crazy not sure on the bhp yet as it has to get more mapping, but it's mad, it's boost creeping ATM due to the actuator we think so I'm just talking it handy, its so responsive and smooth,
Big thanks to vtec6000 he spent so long on mapping and getting it right, pure gent
And also to the lads in cda that built the engine, great work and very helpful
    here some pics
