That wouldn't be down to the fuel pump Gary. That would be fuel cut due to starvation of the pump when all the fuel swashes to the opposite side of the tank when cornering. I had the very same problem with my 32 which is why I put the swirl pot in and it solved the problem, never had an issue with it since

I was told the car did it before and they changed the pump and it solved the problem i had the car full off petrol and pulled grand in a straight line but then corners it would cut out so when i pulled in opened the fuel cap and it started gushing out on me checked all lines and was getting petrol so its realy a funny one so was thinking off trying a new fuel pump aswell

Why would the fuel be gushing out the the fuel filler on you? Yeah mine was the same I had to have a full tank constantly or it would cut.

It was gushing out the fuel cap when i opened it was that the only way you solved your problem mine sounds more like trapped air because i had a full tank and was still at it

I could be wrong but if you are having fuel cut issues I don't think swapping out a walbro for a gtr pump is going to solve it. I had a gtr pump in mine also before the walbro and either way I still had fuel cut. Yes swirl pot is the solution.
You can get one from Murray Motorsports for €50 and then get a second hand bosch 044
