(Little intro taken from our facebook page)
Introducing Team DEALTWIDTH, who will be competing in Prodrift, the BDC, and basically as many places as we can afford, or that the cars survive!
The members of team DEALTWIDTH are Dave Egan, Eoin O'Sullivan and Brian Egan.
Our goal for the year is to ultimately just give it our all really. There won't be safe runs, there won't be any minding of cars. We'll all be going for it, in every run, at least as much as our possibly limited talents allow at the moment! The looks and lifestyler esque aspects will be there too though, so expect low, wide, stance, and all those words to become synonymous with the team!
And so a little bit about the 3 members for people who don’t know them.
Dave Egan is the man that normally gives the introductions, rather than having one for himself. He stepped onboard as Prodrift commentator about 2 years ago now, and all the watching has made it impossible for him not to try it for himself! He’s a complete novice to the sport, yet has shown great early promise. A man best described as “unpredictable”......
Eoin O’Sullivan is probably best known for his wall running antics in his jx90 mark 11, or for the two words “YOUR MOM”. His new build is shaping up awesomely, as members on here have surely been following. Undoubtedly an entertaining driver who in his new piece of machinery, a from the ground up, no holds barred build of his well known chassis, should be able to not only challenge for podiums, but keep aero makers in business at the same time!
Brian Egan campaigned a very different mk1 turbo’d mx5 last year in Prodrift, with plenty of highs and lows....and fires! This year he’s back in his first love, a N/A AE86. Formally the famous 86 driven by Eric O’Sullivan, the car has had some extensive changes to get it ready for this year. But undoubtedly a capable car in the right, flat out, fully committed hands, the excuses are gone and it will be interesting to see how quickly he adapts to the new car, and what he can do just a year into his drifting “career”.
Through a brilliant partnership with www.freshfix.net, we hope to bring an insight and a different perspective to somewhat grassroots drifting in Ireland. Hopefully the highs, and no doubt the lows will all be shown, and maybe for the casual viewer will show just how much having a simple drift car, having fun with your mates and putting everything you have into it can be equally rewarding and at other times make you question why you do it at all!
We can’t promise results, but we can promise 100% commitment, and hopefully by liking our facebook page, and following, commenting on and tweeting about the team, you can watch it grow, from its humble beginnings to world domination!!
So like the page, like the freshfix page (If for some unknown reason you haven’t all ready!), and hopefully come along for the journey!!
It begins at Prodrift round 1, this weekend, at the siege of Ennis!
So PLEASE like our facebook page and help us out, we'll be forever in your debt!
