IMO there is nowhere on the road that you will have to transition basically from full lock one way, to full lock around a hairpin another way. It multiplies the shit factor by alot, and really makes you hate the little shit shoebox of a car....

Main problem with the camber for me and stretch was that the rear tyres kept popping off. Thats largely due to the grates in Portlaois though I'd imagine so probably be alright anywhere else.

Shims. Well they were only fitted saturday. But they seemed to work fine at the drift day. Who knows when they'll wear out or what will happen over time, but for the moment it seems to be spot on. Feels like a 2way/welded. Cant remember off hand how many was used etc, but will find out for you as soon as I can.
Oh I've loads of places where you can transition from lock to lock! I finish work at 4am in the morning, so Iv the whole country to myself! I've been meaning to just throw in a few spacers, did it with the beemer and it worked well.

Defo going to give the shims a go, because I really don't wanna blow up the diff by welding it!

Did a few more calculations and have the fueling dropped down so the car isn't flooding. Got my acceleration enrichments throughout the entire range just right, also got my cranking pulse widths spot on for all the temps. So shes mint!!

    Oh tuning is fun!!

So since the car was running well I decided to start the build, pulled off the old maniflod and downpipe, and have been eying up the new mani and turbo. So should get a good bit done over the next few days with any luck in between my shifts.

A bit of progress at last today, been busy with work so didn`t get much done over the weekend.

But today I got the oil feed fitted, and also drilled and taped the sump and fitted the return.

Finished off the welding on the manifold, just have to do some grinding and throw on a bit of paint and then bolt it up.

Tomorrow I should have the turbo modded to fit my exhaust.

Almost there, but going to run it without the intercooler for the moment, dont have time at the moment to fit it.
