You should use a proper pen for it Makes a difference and stays a bit longer under the hood.

    Yeah thats cool as .......!!

    Whats a proper pen Lucius?

I remember years ago drawing a fake rubber seal on a replica GTiR bonnet vent. I painted the bonnet white , to match the car , in basecoat. Then suddenly got this "brainwave" to draw in a fake rubber seal with a black permanent marker which just happened to be in my pocket. It looked brilliant ! So I started lacquering ..... First coat still looked great , second coat same , third coat/final coat still looked great for about a minute until it started to bleed!!! 5 mins later I had the biggest mess ever - the ink bled into the clear coat and went all blotchy!

Id hate to see this happen to your rocker cover ...........

    Whats the secret Lucius ????

Try to wrap that cover first with some good quality vinyl, and then made sharpie on it Make sure is applied properly, heat gun or at least hair dryer is a must.
    Something like this:

    done with this:

    without lacquer coat.
I'll bee doing mine V8 cover soon. Will upload some pictures when it's done.
