Why are you changing the conrod if it spun a bearing?

Are you having the crank ground?

Because the bearing spun into nothing (broke up) and wore the con rod.

Yea left the crank in today to find out what size bearings i need to get.

Ah right, I assumed it just spun a couple of times but was still intact. How did it manage to get that bad?

As for grinding the crank, There is no reason it wouldn't be as good as original once it has been ground precisely and the correct matching size shell fitted afterwards.

it got that bad cos id the helmet on me in modello and didnt hear it til i had the damage done.

I think the thing is to grind down the crank for the mains aswell as the big ends, cos the crank could be very slightly worped from the con rod banging up and down.

    Default crank

The crank is probaly done when the bearing is total gone. Wait to see if it can be reground before you get a rod. Have an engine here if it doesnt work out for you.
