e36 in to e30? anyone done it?

Hey lads
Im just woundering has anyone here put an e36 engine in to an e30
if so what was involved? did they have to make engine mounts, what gearbox did you use, much issues with wireing? ect ect
also opinions on different e36 engines what are 318is like

the e30 i have is a 316i and was thinkin about putting a e36 318is engine into it

They did a E30 318is so I would imagine it wouldnt be very hard at all!

I've heard over there that you can pick a 318is engine for an e30 up for 200-300 yoyos so handy enough conversion to get done

I'd say the mounts and wiring and all would be differnt in an e36 to an e30, 2 completely different generations of car sure! If ya got a complete car wit evrytin it cud be done but just tink of any extra costs wit fabrication and that! Have a look at bimmerforums.com does be fairley gud 4 bmw stuff!
