I thought it was time to start a project thread as i have been doing a few bits lately.
So i swapped my twincam for this ps13 and i just fell in love with it, most of you know the car as it used to belong to burner on here (i did not swap burner for it i swapped another guy) anyway here was the car when i got it
not the best pic but anyway
so about 2 days after i got it we went for a little bit of streeto and i had a fight with a kurb and the kurb won, ill let the pics explain
i was lucky not to flip the car as the step was about 3foot high so i blamed the steering wheel for the smack but most would say it was my drivingso when the damaged was fixed the first thing on my list of mods was a dished steering wheel.
so i picked one up from barrys motorsport and fitted it heres a pic of the new wheel
after that i got a sparco 3 point harness because my seat belt only locked up when it felt like it so heres a pic of the harness fitted
so after that i hit a drift day in the famous oil mill heres one or two pics
then i went out and bought
adjustable rear camber arms.
the car wasnt running the best so i went about fixing this and picked up
walbro fuel pump as the standard one in the car was being killed slowly
iridium spark plugs
and a new fuel filter
this seemed to sort out the car so i was happy for another while
all was going well until i was driving one day and the car refused to hold boost so i thought i must have a leak, had it all tested etc and no joy, it turned out to be the turbo on the way out, i was thinking about getting a s15 turbo but i settled for a s14 as its a recession and hence the thread title,
i picked one up off a lad on here and went about getting another few bits to go in with it.
I got a hks actuator
stainless manifold and turbo elbow
and heat wrap for both
i also picked up a fuel pressure reg and i now have all of the above fitted.
The car came with coilovers in the front and lowering springs in the back but the fronts where not the best so i thought it was time to get a full set to replace the old so i picked up a set of Tein super street Coilovers and there is now some difference in the car so well pleased with them.
I then got cusco front and back strut braces off gem on here and they too make a nice difference
Yesterday i picked up an Apexi SAFC 2 so wire that in and a quick road map to set that up is on the cards tomorrow.
today i ordered a set of adjustable rear toe in arms off lorcan and they should be here tomorrow.
Thats about it as far as i can remember, let me know what you think good comments or bad all welcome(not like i have a choice)
and yes spacers and works wheels are in the pipeline so watch this space
