    Default Man maths question

Well lads. I have a few issue's. My daily is a 318is. Now I love the car and will keep it. The car is fun even with an open diff Now I have always loved S14's and more so the 14a. Now what I was going to do was spend in the region of 2k doing various things ie coilovers,325 engine, style 5's and a lsd for the beemer. Now on the other side of the story the car is just not powerful enough and its a bit to good to kill drifting with intent. So what I was thinking of doing was keeping the beemer as a daily and looking to buy a S14a. would 2k or even 2.5k get me a good one ? Even a standard car. It must have nct is the only issue as I will be using it on the road. Or just keep the beemer and drift spec her ?

Think you are gonna need to decide whether you want a bmw or an s14 , just sell the bmw and get yourself a cool drift ready yoke that will put a smile on your face every minute of your driving. To get bmw drift specced you will need to spend a few bob and when you do, you will want more, where you will sell it and get an s14 and regret pumping any money into the bmw, because you won't be able to make that money back from the sale.. so in short just get a proper car already

well if it was me and i wanted to keep the beemer id leave the 2k in the bank and save up another 1500ish, these days there are some serious cars around the 3.5k mark, or you could sell the beemer and put the lot towards a really nice s14, im driving my 180 as a daily and once im not driving around like a lunatic its not the worst on juice, tax is a pain but then again 2litre tax isnt a huge amount more than a 1.8.

dont mind the 318, theiur under powerd big time, the best thing i ever did was get my s14, love it.
    their not crazy on pertrol,
out of mine with mixed driving between hard an easy goin, use it every day, has a few bits done i still will get min 350km for 60ish euro, and a smile the whole time driving it, (untill i come across ramps) theres heaps of parts out there for them, can pick them up cheap,
even if you get a s14 200 your laughing! theres a guy here in limerick sellin a 99-00 one for alright money,
    s14 forget about the kettle

Hi ford2,I was on the same boat as yourself once apon a time.I had an e36 and I had all the plans in the world for the thing but after deep considiration I decided to sell it and I bought an s13 with all the drift necessary parts. The beemer will be too costly so just buy the s14 id say
