good luck with the 14 nicely done![]()
when i first got her she had holes in the 1/4 panels for a navan spoiler, and rather than fill them and repaint the hole car i got 1 for it cheapy
also the brake light wires were there for the spoiler. are they on normal models? i think this was originally a navan if so.
picked up a sparco rev seat also in good nick no tears etc. only problem is fiinding a side mout rail for it. so far ive seen a bride fg rail fit but there gold digger money.
oh and anybody for the z32 front brakes?
got the front bumper and fitted it. then i tried fixing the front d/s light as it was dull and gone yellow so i tried everything to fix it but no luck but it did slightly go back. but i tinted them black and it looks alright. even though im not a fan of tinted lights. might do the same with the back ones. trying to upload photo's but flickr is acting the feck.
had to make a photobucket account

Same bumper as me DecoVertex I believe. Looking good kid, can't wait to see ya out sliding 'er.
wel it's a while since i updated but nothing much has happend to the car as such. before i baught the car i went and got a prodrift academy voucher for my b-day. well what a present! i said it would be worth it since i'd learn more alot quicker and of course i get to drive someone elses car quite flat out!
i had two classes for the day.
level 1 was a beginner class.
level 2 was an advanced class.
briefing went on and such and such![]()
pic of me in the grey jumper half awake hahah
. was a cool day signed on at 9am and drifting a 9.30am.
level 1 had a controlled donut.
then a handbrake turn around a cone and back.
then a right hander on the handbrake.
after that it was weight transfer from right to left corner. first 2 goes i half spun but got it back at the end. then it was plain sailing.
james deane teached me up to around 3pm and then he had to judge the final class runs. mike fitz sat in with me then and.... well he didn't expect me to go flat into 1st corner and suceed the entire run hopping off the bump stops haha.
i was really pushing hard knowing that i could win the dc shoes driver of the day. after my judged runs i was confident but non the less it was the hardest i pushed all day and had no hic-ups! .
then came 4.30 and it was time for the results.
I WON! :smash: first time i went a drove a car competitively or over 50mph! pahaha
got a 73/100 on my best run!.
didn't know what to think! all i knew was i'll be back in september for dc shoes driver of the year to compete against all drivers of all the academy's.
up to 5.30 i had cooled down a bit but the shock was still hanging i was called for briefing for class 2.
i didn't really care if it didn't go well i just wanted to try new things.
level 2 had you back in the swing of things.![]()
controlled donut in second gear
then right hander
then the fun part......MANJI! never spun once somehow.
and not long after that was the new course. it require a third corner but a bit further than normal to make it more technical.
my new judge was peden nielsen. was so much fun to just push that extra bit. in this level though you get more pride for not using the handbrake after first corner.
judged runs didn't happen till just after 9pm. DRIFTING IN THE DARK IS BRILLIANT! judged runs finished at 9.30pm. so almost 12hrs of a drift day!
when i was doing the judged runs i was told by my passenger that after those runs you could have it!. every one else was doing around 50-60 into the first corner. i was well over that!
results were up. and they called 3rd and 2nd.
heart pounding like mad. ''the winner is'' tapping his pen on the clip board i knew what was next!
shocked to say the least! over the moon to say the slightest!
i would reccomend to ANYONE in ireland that is thinking of taking up drifting to do this and you won't be dissapointed!
nice one dec!!! congrats lad!!!!
