ye keeping an eye on your project too it's a mint motor and wheels are just pure awsome.

thanks for all the good comments. ive picked up most of my knowledge through servicing cars with the brothers and just reading build threads etc.
i always keep the sayings ''do it right the first time'' and ''measure twice cut once''. no fucking around available!

wasn't actually too bad tbh i was dreading doing it.

you just need to cut the lip at the start to keep the wires from being to tight.
then file and i added a little rubber trim to stop it in any way of shaving the wires.
then just get your hand under the dash and try push the tighter wires out more. after that drill two holes at each end of the lip as theres already 1 in the middle and zip tie the loom. and hey presto.

update. after a good day a pd rd4 i came home and got a buzz to go back at the car again. so i thaught and thaught again and rather than just stripping the sound deadining where the back seats are. ill go do the hole thing to feck rather than making it harder in the future. and i need to tidy up a few wires behind the dash and remove the radio and speaker wires etc. so pulled the seats out i started to strip the dash of it's bits to remove it for better access and so i can paint the hole inside.

now im on the search for a 6 point bolt in cage. so if you've got one to sell pm me and no dash dodgers please.
