Question boost/bleed valve vs adjustable actuator

which is the best or pros and cons? my sr20det is boosting at .6bar max and i wanted more boost lets say .8bar to .9bar.
boost valves/bleed valves are dirt cheap and an adjustable actuator are a bit more exspesive to up the boost ,
just wondering are boost/bleed valves reliable or unpredictable or i heard they cause pressure spikes and could damage the turbo does any one have experience with them?
