Can ye not flick instead??? Weight transfer???
I tried a full speed entry once on Sunday, came round Dunlop in second and flat into third flat again the whole ways til I pulled the wand, launched it in and was just too fast, by the time I got slowed enough I was way off the apex of turn one and the altezza has alot of grip so after that I lifted a little just before the entry and it worked fine,, twin battles are goin to be interesting,,,,,,,
Depends on the car and grip levels I suppose Chuck. Personally I was slowing down and going flat from just after dunlop and a flick worked fine for me to get sideways. But about 1 second later I'd have to be going on the hydro to slow down, so much of a muchness really. Depends what they mean by entry? Flick or clutch kick initiation should be fine imo, but you'll have to use the hydro after that to slow down surely? Track just isnt wide enough I dont think to scrub all that speed by pure angle. But I'd imagine my car would be a bit different to how others behave anyway so not a great reference.
I didnt get to see any of Alan Sinnots runs sadly, but with his combination of power, angle and sheer talent he surely would have shown whether its possible properly or not. Anyone see his runs and if so what did they think?
they were savage but im open to correction i think he was using a flick of the handbrake mostily??was still a bit dazed so cant remember rightly
i dont get this no handbrake entry? fair enough no one wants to see yokes sliding in on long pulls of the wand but as long as the entry is quick as possible with no hestitation and the car is thrown as violently possible sideways who gives a fuk how its intitiated?
a cam obviously would be the same as your own as regard a sharp flick at speed but id imagine bigger cars with grippy 17s wouldnt oblige as handy
