need some help fitting a fuel pump please :)

Alright lads and ladies!
As the title suggests, i need a bit of help fitting a walbro fuel pump to my r33.
Is there much involved in fitting it or what?
Would it take long to do? etc, etc, etc...
Any help is appreciated, really don't want to put her into a garage for this if i can manage it myself.

its fairly handy , you can get to it through the boot floor on the right hand side. all you need realy is a soldering iron. just make sure its secured to the bracket properly as the walbro pump is smaller than the standard one. and make sure the suction pipe with the mesh bag on it is the same length as the one you take out and feed it back down to the same spot in the tank as were it came out of, if its not maybe try using your origonal suction pipe, if its shorter you run the risk of running out of juice before your fuel gague goes to empty. its a big auld car to be pushing to the petrol station.... if you havent already got the walboro pump maybe look into getting a GTR pump , because it will be an upgrade for your gtst and it wont die like the walboro if you ever do run out of juice...

yep thats the bad boy right there. mark those hoses so they go back in the same place when re-installing. there will be pressure in at least one of those lines when you go to take it off so the best thing to do is find you fuel pump fuse, start the car and while its running pull out the fuse and the car will run till the lines are empty then will shut off. this will save you making a mess when you pop off those lines.

thats the job, seems like a handy enough job so then
one of the lads though is just after ringing me there saying that the fuel pump is half way inside the tank, can some1 confirm this please???

best time to change is when its fairly low in fuel.. another easier tip is just pull off the plugs then try start it to drop the fuel pressure,
and when your screwing the top housing back on again make sure its threading on straight, because it is only plastic and if its cross treaded it wont seal and ul have a mess on your hands.
