Default re-laquering a carbon bonnet? dos and donts?

well the laquer on my bonnet is properly fucked, its very cloudy and once yuou polish it, it clouds back up within a few days

whats involved in re-laquering it? do you take off the laquer right down to the original carbon? or could this end up fucking the carboin weave if you sand too much?

Could you use the same technique that's used for headlight restoration? IE; start with 1000 grit wet and dry and work your way through the grades up to 2000 grit. Then give a good rub with some compound?

just one thing to add mate buff it up the best you can before you flatten it when its shining flatten it with 1200 and go 1500 after if you like but 12 be good enough then laquer it same as any panel then flatten and polish the laquer should be fine ive done loads just make sure thertes no yellow faded parts as theyl just show up under laquer
