Well where do I start I bought this ae86 back in 2006 and before that any car I got I sold after a few months this is the only car I could settle on. It came into the country with the following mods

So after a bit of researching (at the time nobody had done a 20v road conversion in Ireland before) so all the info and parts I needed had to be sourced outside the country, things like waterline kit had to be got direct from japan not like the way it's easy to get them now. I began by collecting parts

This little fooker was causing a lot of play in the steering so it got replaced

In the meantime I sourced an engine in a local scrappy was unbelievably lucky at the time he was only a mile away and my last resort.

When I got all together I got in touch with Ronan from Roco performance one of the soundest down to earth lads you will meet with very reasonable prices and an extreme talent for fabrication. He converted the whole lot for me in less than 2 weeks and had it ready for mapping.


I bought an OMEX 600 series ECU with bosch coilpacks mapped by Martin treacy in Westward top man and very easy to deal with it made 164bhp which dosnt sound like a whole lot but believe me it is serious craic. So the end result
