Default More Boost from the 180 ????

    Well Guys

My 180 is a standard non vvti sr20det

Only Power mods it has is a kakimoto RS-R exhaust, downpipe, FMIC and GTR fuel pump.

Its got a standard turbo and is boosting at only .5 bar

I recently took the car to a few drift days and got on grand but obviously enough the car is very underpowered for 2nd

I was asking around and was reccommended a digitial boost controller and actuator. Was just wondering if anyone has any tips on what to buy to get her up the power before the next drift day at the end of november OR what type of actuator or boost controller to get?

Any info at all is much appreciated

    Cheers
    Matt

i got a 15bb turbo with the car (not fitted) and it seems dead on but there is a tiny amount of play in the centre cartridge, some say it needed replaced, others said it was bang on but iv yet to try it out

The 15 turbo should make it more responsive aswell as its very laggy at the minute down low revs

what all else do you need to fit the 15 turbo???

would 15spec R 440 injectors make much of a differnce as there is a GTR pump in it?

The best thing to increase the power on an engine is to map the ECU.

We can supply a NISTUNE ecu that wil find all the power in the modifications you have. It can also control the boat with a simple TDP boost solonoid. It's by far the most cost effective way of increasing power and torque.

In the future if you do further upgrades it can be mapped to suit.

We could get your current spec to about 300 bhp with great torque and response without changing the turbo or injectors.

Just about but it falls off very quickly. This one made 289 I have seen more.

Here is a 180 with T25 that I was asked to max recently. Its turbo was failing as I started so a fresh one might do better.

Here is the Torque and Axel BHP.

Here is the Flywheel Torque & BHP

The boost falls of very quickly.

When you say laggy what sort of rpm are you reaching .5bar?you could have a boost leak or your actuator is gone weak or maybe have a slight leak in your turbo gaskets.
Also there is a t piece on your vacum hoses just above the turbo one goes to back towards the trottle body another goes to the standard boost factory boost solenoid and the other goes to the turbo actuator remove the one going to the factory boost solenoid and replace with silicone hose or another vacum hose as this pipe contains a restrictor and hey presto you have .7bar and with your set up you should be able to run that safely.
