Thread: Truck Build 2

thanks for the comments, i think the price is fair for it

my mate gave 2200 for a very similar one in the north a good few months ago and it needed test and clearing so im hoping this sells or I will put some money into doing the cab and keep it myself for a while

it should only weigh 2000-2100kg im hoping as its a pretty light body compared with some. they are clamping down big time on overweight lately and its only going to get stricter

bought the spring loaded bolts for the lights today and rust proof primer..

also fitted the rear rails which ad support to the beaver

loading angle is very good, the lowest part of the truck is almost the bed, having the lights on top gives you that extra bit and doesn't risk smashing the lights off the ground on hills or entrances etc

it is fit for purpose at least lol

I took the body off last night and done 95% of the welding underneath.

Today i will finish the welding and fingers crossed get at least 3 coats of primer on the body ready for finish coat tomorrow

Last update on this as it sold and went last week down to Kerry!

It weighed 2050 empty so she could take a nice bit payload of almost 1.5 tonnes! body was approximately 400kg

Im starting a new build now tomorrow. New shape transit body with aluminium floor. Anyone want me to stick the build in a thread or are they getting old now?!
