Mines ECU's on Irish fuel equals no engine at all.

I can do you a good deal on a F-con V pro second hand of you interested.

We can also do a NIStune for the car but it will require some wiring changes ?

Is there much difference in the price of that f-con and mapped towards the nistune and a map?

A NIStune kit is €800 fitted and mapped. S/H F-con V Pros start at €1200 fitted and mapped with AFM and €1400 with AFM removed running MAP.

    I have several in stock.

at least give some reasons behind why they are a bad idea??(mines was just an example )i don't want to drop a grand on an ecu just to run simple upgrades, if the stock ecu is my prblem(see below there is no need for a full stand alone unit)

I just mentioned the mines as an example, i know their pretty agressive but as i was chatting to another member on here who had come across a very similar issue , and has been running a mines ecu for the last year with no problems, i copied and pasted this from skyline owners.... and although i wouldn't normally believe keyboard warriors i do think this is the same problem i'm facing,

R33 GTST flat spot. The talkings over!!!
Some months ago I became a newbie member to the Skyline clan.
I bought a 14 year old R33 GTST, aparently standard apart from a catback exhaust. i bought it with a misfire at 4500 rpm and was assured it was "plugs or something to do with the MPH converter"
Weeks later and having read soooo much "information" on various forums I booked the car in at the first of four! performace specialists that specialised in Jap cars and tuning. It would be wrong of me to name them, BUT the first three all failed to fix the problem, in fairness the third did tell me the problem but apart from fitting an after market ECU and re-mapping it couldnt fix the problem.
The problem was this;- Having fitted a big bore down pipe and de-cat I had a free flowing and free breathing engine. The AFM was reading so much volume that it hit max voltage and at 4500 rpm retarded the ignition and richened the mixture. This had the net effect of dropping 65 BHP off the curve and didn't re-appear untill 6000 rpm.
This is a list of things that were NOT the problem, as replaced or changed:
    Coils
    Plugs
    AFM
    Crank angle sensor
    ECU
    Ignition amplifier
    Knock sensors.

The solution:- Re-map the standard ECU to ignore what the AFM is telling the ECU.
Rising Sun Performance in Alton Hants on 01962 773729 are the only company in the UK (I believe) that can re-map the ECU.
I picked my car up tonight and with 293 BHP it is the car that I've always thought it should be.............Awsome!
A very grateful thanks Richard and Damo, what a great drive.

Ok If you want to run a pre-programmed ecu form the other side of the world be careful.

My experience with skyline owners is that the all love RSP my experience of there maps is not the same as above.
