Fintona Extreme Motoring Festival May 1st 2011

This year might have got off to a relatively slow start in the modified calendar but thankfully things are about to change. The longest running modified car event is back and once again AJS Promotions are pushing the boundaries of modified car shows in Ireland. Over the last nine years the Fintona car show has had everything from jet cars to world record attempts. This year we have decided to make the event a little more extreme and the boys from UK FMX will travel to the venue to perform a number of mind blowing freestyle motocross tricks. Freestyle Motocross is currently the fastest progressing sport in the world with the tricks simply getting more and more dangerous. It was once about clearing a jump, its now about clearing the same jump upside down. Flip tricks are an essential part of this growing sport and you will see flip tricks at the Eccelesville Centre for the first time on May 1st.

Getting back to the grass roots of this event, lets talk a little about four wheels. This is the countries largest modified and custom car event. With an indoor arena crammed full of the best show cars you will be blown away by the level of detail on this machinery. Fintona has always been classed as the place to see exactly what trends are leading the way in modified cars and because of this, the press and TV media come from far and wide to cover the event. In the live action arena this year we are going old school with the rerun of The Steer From the Rear. Arguably the best display team in the world will once again join forces to burn rubber in a number of different machines throughout the day. From professional drift cars to everyday rear wheel drives the lads have promised an unforgettable show. Backing the boys up will be Northern Irelands latest precision driving sensation Full Throttle. These guys have honed their skills over the last ten years to make four Toyota Twincams dance in synchronization. You have seen burning rubber before but not like this! Add to this the usual bevy of beautiful babes that the show attracts and prizes for all the top cars and you are in for an extreme show not to be missed. See you Sunday May 1st.
