Just for future reference, who has first hand experience with turbo upgrades on 1jz's? Looking for sumting maybe 400-450bhp with quick spool, what is a good one to go for? Google gives you conflicting answers would like to here real life experiences.

holset hy35 would be good on one of these id imagon
afaik theres a black s14 on driftworks wit a jz fitted and one of these turbos

Heard about these, have they redesigned them to suit high rpm's or was that just a rumour that they wernt great in high revs?

For that power I'd go a garters 3071 or 3076.....! You will have basically no lag on a 1j..... Wouldn't touch a holset.....!

Gt35 with a .63 housing... Its what I run and has full boost by 3-3.5k with loads of pull below that! good for 450hp! Perfect for drifting on a jz!

about 1200-1300quid,, thet nex tng is a 3076r.86 housing
