    Default Installing kill switch !

    So i got one of these switches im being told to hook it up to the battery so it cuts power ? im very new to all this so any help would be great ,and bare with me i can be a little slow ha , im guessing ill need extra cable so what type ? and how to break the circuit. As said i havent a clue where to start so thanks in advance ! oh and also i have the pull cord to put in the wing if that matters ...................

    just break the positive battery cable and join

    each end to each terminal on the switch

    make sure that the heavy lead from the alternator is connected to the

    battery side of the switch otherwise when the switch is turned off

    the car will stay running.

    yer goin to have to draw a diagram for me so im just splitting the positive ?? You say each end whats the other if one is positive ? mate sorry i havent a clue bout this stuff

    Il show you how its done! I did it on mine, need to cut the altinator feed & battery positive on the one circuit as said above..

    Give me a ring when you want to know il show you, also get some welding cable its about €8 a meter, Intertool on the sundrive road will have it, tell them what your doing!

    Be careful as to what type switch your using. If your using a standard battery isolator switch when turned off while engine is running will cause a voltage spike and could cause harm your alternator and other electronics in the car like engine ecu etc.

    Get a motorsport type switch which has 4 spade connections on the bottom aswel as your main battery connections. They come supplied with a resistor and a wiring diagram,you'll need this switch if its a competition spec car and for obvious electrical safety reasons...

    You should bring it to a mechanic or someone who knows what there doing.
