just break the positive battery cable and join

each end to each terminal on the switch

make sure that the heavy lead from the alternator is connected to the

battery side of the switch otherwise when the switch is turned off

    the car will stay running.

Il show you how its done! I did it on mine, need to cut the altinator feed & battery positive on the one circuit as said above..

Give me a ring when you want to know il show you, also get some welding cable its about €8 a meter, Intertool on the sundrive road will have it, tell them what your doing!

i never put a kill switch on the positive circuit. always on the negative.

what happens if you crash with another car, metal to metal will you not get earth/negitive from there car or does it have to be from the one battery to compleat the circuit to have power if you get me??

Anybody that told me when i did mine was break the positive... :S

It dosent make a difference which side ya switch if your simply using it as a battery isolator, i would mostly switch earth too for the reason you stated above. BUT a motorsport spec isolator switch has more functions, yes it kills battery power, but it also prevents engine run on and damage to electrical circuits when power is abruptly cut.All of this has to be switched positive to work.
