Default Att Pro drivers, diff question. welded vs 2way

For competition only what is the benefits of running a 2way over welded for drifting. For someone building a car on a budget its a lot more tempting to give someone a few quid to weld the diff than fork out 600-700euro for a Kaaz then going and getting it all set up or whatever. This could have been asked before but for competition only whats pros and cons of both, I know in my head what some are but since I'm only starting out I want to hear experiences from people who have run both for some time. thanks.

From my own experience Ive had a 2 way in both my AE86 and Silvia and they were exactly what I wanted but I'm sick of spending huge money on parts when there is a viable shortcut.

Really? Thats interseting, thanks for the quick reply. That mean you have one in the S15? Any problems you can see with it?

yeah i never used anything but welded, even in some road cars, only job, cause you'll break a 2way just as easy, and replacing them could cost over 600, when you can pick up an open diff for 150 or so and just get stuck in with the welder!

I've heard that solid axle cars snap shafts with welders. Not sure but heard it!
