    Default 1jz head skimming

    rite lads got a quote for skimming the head of 1jz but im not to sure if the head on it could someone shed some light on it for me thanks
    the quote i got for a fuul recondition if its shimmed is 400
    or if its not shimmed 280
    whats your thoughts

    skimming on its own would only be about €50 or less, if he is re conditioning it would be fitted new oil seals, pressure testing, grinding in valves, etc..

    ye its a full recon alrite i said i may as well while im at it but i need to know if the heads are shimmed or not so if anybody knows

    as said above a skim is normally only 50 but i had a pair of scooby heads skimed a few weeks ago and was charged 380!!!! but the guy i left them to was an asshole,only used him as my normal machine man was on 2 weeks holls!!! price round and ask a few people round ur area who is gud but still realistic on price!!!

    is 280 not a good price for a full refurb see i never had to get it done before

    We get you sorted soon at a much more reasonable price!

    @ Dan you got raped! Would have told him to go and shite, €100 in my place, only did a pair there 2 weeks ago!
