    funkin hell fitz...
    i never taught it was that bad.

    but look at it this way lads,

    id imagine a dash dodger is only at its strongest takin a roll impact and not a side on slap like that!
    and if dash dodgers were as bad as stated above there wouldnt be as many ov them out there..
    all compitition cars would want a proper weld in as the impact is more than likely going to be harder?!

    ps i now have to go out to the shed to see how straight that part of the cage is!!

    cage is perfect. have it here in the shed. car bent around it!!

    So they are not as bad as everyone says its really only down to the positioning of the base.

    a dash dodger can kink where the bends are to go around the dash if a car is put on its roof. welding in door bars can prevent this.

    id imagine if they were as bad as some ppl make out the likes of cusco and other well known brand names wouldnt be making them.

    id say it was a tight squeeze out of that, just shows how important the right roll cage/ safety equipment can be!

    reminds me of the car crash i was in side impact at about 100mph but my feet were jammed in there with the pedals wish i had a roll cage that nite anyways fair bit of damage done there you were lucky it could have turned out much worse

    Wow! My S14 has a dash-dodger Cusco cage put in by the previous owner!

    Seriously considering whether its even worth keeping it!!
