    Default fower fc fitting

    Dont know if this is a stupid question but i need to fit my power fc to a red top sr20det and am completely clueless when it comes to the electronic side of things so could any body describe in detail whats involved in fitting it ?
    o and i forgot ive tried googling it but havent been able find anything

    plug out ur old ecu and plug the new 1 in is the ecu mapped for ur set up? the car will run like shit if its not in some cases mitent run atal

    ya its finding the original ecu is the biggest problem nah tis second hand but id be getting her mapped by robbie anyway

    your old ecu is on the passenger side down to the left of your feet..

    Sound out lad thanks ya afaik its a case of just plugging it into the original loom said i better just make sure and hadnt a clue as to where the original plug for the ecu was

    y not just let the power fc on the seat and let robbie hook it up for you, ur car wount run correctly unless its mapped for ur set-up

    At the passengers footwell, theres a pannel in front of the door, under the glove box. Take that off and the ecu is there. theres one bolt holding the wiring harness onto the ecu, rip that and it will pull out of it.
    Plug the harness into your power fc and re-tighten the bolt.

    you'll see a 10mm bolt on the plug.. just take that off.. in your new ecu and tighten up the pfc..
    just be carefull and dont bang it..
    also put power fc where original one was...

    ya the ecu is behind the passenger side kick panel,you need a 10 socket to unbolt the old ecu off the panel,Then DISCONECT YOUR BATTERY and use the 10 socket to unbolt the plug off the standard ecu then plug in the power fc and bolt up the pulg, reconnect your battery and do the initialisation.

    The two other lads posts were up while i was wrighting mine! Ya, ian g sr20 makes a good point. At least you'll still be able to drive it if you do that
