Default Help people (sr slave cylinder)

I haven't been doing too much on the car for the last while but finally I got the finger out today when I saw the sunshine.

I'm changing the slave cylinder on my sr20
I tought it was a straight forward bolt on jobbie.
but when I took the old slave off the arm that comes from the gearbox is loose can be pulled around. Not sure does it have to slot in.
or what needs to be done.
I can upload pics if must be.

I'm not sure what to do now.
so my productive day's work has come to a stop

the fork moves your release bearing, so yes it has to be in the correct spot..

all that holds that fork on is a small spring onto a pivot ball it shouldnt be tight

Is it just moving back and forward or like it's loose? Get pics up to be sure
