I think you're missing the point a bit here, why bother with any of that stuff if it's a hassle and isn't any benefit to performance?
As I said, if it's for looks then it's a question of personal taste.

Anyone remember the thread on driftworks when someone asked about the best way to jack up a car and it ran to a million pages?

Why should your missus bother to put on make up if its just a question of personal taste?
Why bother painting your house if its just a question of personal taste?
Why shop for clothes instead of putting on the first thing you see if its just a question of personal taste?

See where I'm going with this?

It might be a hassle but how you design your car and how you make you and your possessions unique is what makes them personal and makes your things a statement of who you are

Home made ramps, proper trolley jack, sorted. My car is too low for the road but it still gets driven because it looks cool.

Ha ha I think I worded that wrong cos I actually agree 100% with everything you said there, hence why I roll around in a 10 year old Nissan that scrapes it's front ARB on everything cos I think it looks cool
I personally think a car is just as important an expression of your personality as the clothes you wear.

My comment was about competition cars where performance usually wins out over style. (it's a slow day at work today)

You get a gold star for being a good bumper customer

Well with regards to performance cars if you have the money to buy a new bumper for every drift event you go to then you're my hero But I see what you're saying about performance over style, well moreso practicality over style?

i think these kits are nice, i.e. uras kits for skylines, big bumpers+sideskirts=cool, but thats my opinion, it everybodys choice, if you dont like it fine, did you pay for the car/mods, no
