    Default Psi???

so went to the garage the other day to check the psi in the tyres as i hadnt done it since the snow and they were all over the place. so i put 30psi into them all,

but got me thinking, what psi do you lot put in and why??

i know some over-inflate for breaking traction and some keep them a little low for more grip, but what you you say is the ideal psi on a low profile slightly stretched tyre

on the road anything from 28-32 allround but on track around 55-60 in the rear tyres, i have a option dvd here going in to all the different tyres and psi they run in d1 i think the lowest was 55psi and the highest 72psi in the rear if i remember correctly

im guessing it would have a lot got to do with the grip level of the tyres they use as to what psi they would run to try and get a good balance for the driver

On the track it obviously depends on alot of different factor, wet/dry especially. I used always run 25psi on the front cold, with kumho track Tyres, and anything from 50 to 65 in the back, but those pressure on the back dropped to 30 in the wet. Worked grand for me.
