Easiest way to remove it I found if you don't have a tool was to jack up the car, crawl in under until you see the filter under the intake manifold, then with a long flat head screwdriver and hammer, TAP the inside rim of the filter anticlockwise from underneath. 5mins and no fingers lost. Mine was wedged on though no way it would move by hand.

i wouldnt bother changein it every event.dont get full use of the new oil.make sure you use the proper filter.it faces out not in so it does not thread on right.some motor factors have differant ones as i found out the night before an event
