    Default Oil Change

Can anyone talk me through it. At the end of the day it's still my first car. Might be handy job, but sure can anyone just point out the do's / don'ts. Also have a filter here, much to do to change it?

Thanks lads. Just want to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

    Google it or youtube it.

Jack up car, open drain, close drain, take off oil filter, put on new filter with oil in it and around the rubber, fill up oil, start engine, turn off engine, check level, top up, done.

As above really but make sure oil is hot before draining. Take it for a spin or leave it tick over for a good while.

Thanks very much lads. Youtube seems to be a good hit, just wanted to make sure I got all the boxes ticked as I could be hours going through it on the interwebs.

Also.. I left the new oil filter outside in a box over the cold/wet spell. Am I better getting a new one? As everything got wet or damp.

Right, where is the filter on the engine? Hanging out the righthand side down by the turbo? How's it fixed on?
