here's a few more pics before i go to town on it.
got hammers and chisels out, once the brother got wind of a bit of distruction about to take place he was well on for giving me a hand. check out the big happy head on him.
and then hours later not so happy but sticking at it.
eventualy we got it down to this.
so all that was left to do wa paint it, so thats what i did.
right so got the dash out
then assembled the cage to make sure it all went together before it goes into the car
dash ready for marking and cutting to accomodate the cage
couldnt help meself ,had to take a snap of the old girl
stripped everything from underneath
torturing the subframe to give up those bushes
ah ha just like that!!!
the good old sandblasting booth was born!
knuckles blasted then painted
and then the subframe
time to start the seam welding
then shutz was applied to seal the metal from the atmosphere etc...
solid steering colume bush fitted
solid subframe bushes pressed into place
and subframe back in place
started putting on the dw adjustable arms
and then the tein super drift suspension
cant put on the lower arms yet cause when i got them off dw there where no collars to suit the s13 subframe included. but there on there way supposidly??? so will fit them asap
in order to use the s14 5 stud front hubs with the s13 coilovers you need to make the holes in the knuckles where the coilover mounts to smaller (from 14mm to 12mm. so i turned down some stainless slieves on the laid.
and when fitted look like this
then i could continue building the front end
hydraulic handbrake lines pumbed in
now for the DIFF:smash::smokin:
the viscous lsd beside the new KAZZ 2 way LSD
KAZZ fitted
checking the backlash
ok so the collars arrived for the rear lower arms so got them in place
and me !
i just had to cut the lip off the dust guard
