Default Few problem I'm having after my engine swap sr20det

Having a few small problems just wondering has anyone any ideas what the cause could be !

First the idle is hunting between 1300 an 2000 . Anyone had this issue before the idle was never perfect but not that bad I havint had a change to get a good look over it yet.

Gonna check vacuum lines tomorrow any other ideas ?

Jus put a Greddy temp gauge in too it's reading bout 10 degrees lower than the temp on the PFC is that normal I need to bleed my rad could that be the cause ?

Also whats the best way to wire up twin electric fans I got rid of the clutch fan

the diffrance in the temp gauges is possibly because the pfc reads off the original temp switch in the car which is in the thermostat housing with is at the bottom rad hose and ur after market gauge sender is most likely in the top rad hose?

tick over is more than likely a vacume hose 2 under the intake of the trothle body can be easy missed so no harm to double check

fan the best way would be get a 80degree fan switch and an adapter the same tread put it in the bottom rad hose and feet it with an earth and use the switched wire off the other side to earth a permanent live 30amp relay per fan!

I had the exact same issue, it turned out to be vacuum lines

ye i taut that might be the case with the temperature alright.

the afm should be fine i had my mates car running with it no problems i had a quick look over the vacuum lines before i left they looked ok ill double check again tomorrow hate poxy idle problems could be so many different things

that sounds like a good idea gem i dont trust just wiring it on a switch cause i no ill forget bout it some day, but ill do that for the minute till i get the bits i need to wire it properly

For the fans I would use a revotec controller but also wire in an separate switch to by pass that just incase something goes wrong

Your idling problem could easily be the rad if you havnt bled it. Air in the system can cause the idling to hunt like yours is doing. Id do that before double checking the vacume pipes because you have to bleed the rad anyway
