Ya their some fun to drive, and cheap to run, roundabouts can be great craic in the wet and with the top down in the summer it feels like your going a lot faster then you are, I've been into them for a few years and can't see myself ever selling them either, I should have about 200bhp maybe more in the mk1 when I get it back and the insurance is only about 150 euro in it cause it's over 20 years old! My mk2 rs is very fast too with 148bhp standard, and comfortable aswell as an everyday car. A lot of people don't like them and that's fair enough, each to their own and all that but most of them haven't even driven them.
who are you insured with that its so cheap?
im payn nearly 2k altho im only 20
and thats on a 1.8 v spec

A place in portloais that specialise in classic insurance, 'brophey and co', think you need to be over 25 and have another car insured on a different policy and it's limited mileage aswell, I forget what my limit is but it isn't their lowest option anyway, I've the 1990 mk1 and a 1990 Honda crx dualcarb insured fully comp with them for 306, and I told them the mk1 had a turbo fitted! I'm insured on the 99 rs with aviva but that's around 1000 fully comp which is abit much as I'm 30 but I can't really complain as I've the 3 of them insured for 1300
