Anyone any ideas as to what could be wrong?
Did this just start randomly or after addition of mods, parts change etc? I emptied the coolant system when doing the manifold on my 180. After I filled her back up, I had the similar idling.. it started fine, then when it began to warm up after a few minutes the rough idling started.

It turned out I needed to bleed the system, air pockets in the system (ecu gets confused temp readings). Prob nothing to do with your prob thou.

I'd also double check all the vacuum piping to be sure nothing is loose or damaged.. could a number of things.. MAF could have shat itself also

    PS: great idea adding video

Its just started doin it now, not sure if puttin a dump valve on the intercooler piping would have anythin to do with this

Iv still to make sure the coolant system is free from air locks

Didnt think it would have much to do with it but ill check it out none the less

I taught it would be a good addition

Coolant and vacume leak would both cause irratic idling but dont think they would make it smokey like that. I could be wrong and stand to correction of course but its very smokey.
At a guess and I could be way off but maybe turbo trouble???

The turbo has no play in the shaft, but its a T25 off a CA18

I also fucked a full container of stk injector cleaner and octaine booster into the tank

Maybe the mixture of the injector cleaner and the octaine booster together might be doing it???

@ian.... Would the afm make it smokey aswell??

i'd presume any inaccurate readings from the sensors being picked up by your ecu could cause it to run lean or rich causing the smoke. Put your hand over the exhaust, see is it running rich.

Maybe try get a loan of an afm first and try that. Start narrowing it down lad
