    I know it between 1.5-2hours from liverpool if you get the ferry from dublin but it's an 8 hour ferry journey but you get your own room and the bar will be open might be handy for the way home as you will be dying for a shower.
    The other ferries are a bit of a longer trek

    Liverpool is two hours from Holyhead and that's a three hour ferry so it's probably a better idea to do more driving than sailing.

    ya ferry to hollyhead seems a good idea, 3 hours on the quick ferry and it would hardly be more than say 4 hours to drive to leicster?

    EDIT: the aa route planner says 3hrs 48mins from hollyhead to leicster
