boost?

i probly sound like an absolute noob right now but could someone explain the way sometimes on a donedeal add for a car or any add for a car the description says something like, on 1.00 bar boost it has 350hp and at 1.5 bar it has 550?, could someone please explain what this means?(iam only 13!)

if you dont ask you will never find out!! boost is the amount of pressuere the turbo is sending into the engine in simple terms
on a normal engine the air is sucked in on a turbo engine it is pumped in under pressure called boost

so if u have to much boost(pressure) u could blow the engine?

yes if the car is not mapped at that boost level or a poor may,the more boost you run the more fuel u need,with out enough fuel you could melt an engine
