    Do not put on wide quarters with those sized wheels.

    205/55 is quite balooney also on 8s, but the most common 16" part worn you'll get.

    thanks for all the advice lads, forgot to mention the car is only for track days and i don't want to have to spend 30euro a tyre for part-worn 17's when i can get 16's for 10euro and I'll get alot for free from some tyre guys i know

    I'm just going to bin the idea of the arches for a while and stick with the 16's on the back anyway to keep the cost of trackdays down so i can get more seat time

    may look a little odd with 16's on an 180 but hopefully will be some smoke machine

    If i put 205 55 on 16x8 what would i put on 16x7 205 aswell or smaller??

    55 sidewall is huge percentage of a 205 width tyre. balloon spec infact. there realy weak sizes no way would i put fenders anywhere near them! slam, space on standard bodywork, and driftttt!

    I know pete I'm not putting the wide quarters on it now
    just want to get it to the track
    I'm on a budget so cheap tyres ftw
    will 205 go on the 7j's too

    Exactly, some of the balloony tyre lads have short memories as they were happy as fuck running 16" grids with balloony tyres not so long ago
