been working on my car finding out how much rust a 22 year old car has





so i decided to remove as much of the rust as i could I ended up cleaning all the suspensiona arms and painting them all with hammerite just to make them last abit longer



once i had them all out and painted i was going to put them all back in but decided to clean up the suspension and then i cleaned up all the arches and started to paint them and the underneath of the car



once cleaned them up gave them a lick of paint



i painted the arches white and the underneath black and the suspension arms blue







I also got a nardi steering wheel

Putting all of the nuts n bolts back in i used copper grease to hopefully stop any more siezing for the futrue if i have to remove them again



I decided to then do the front end so took it all apart





and then painted it white to freshen it up

Looks cool, never seen a white one with the side strips not colour coded!!

I have one myself, completely standard, going to a respray fairly soon too!

Thanks i used hammerite smooth and a paintbrush good finish tho

i like the gti boot spoiler was thinking of getting one.

What colour are you going to respray yours?

From when i got the car i thought my wheels werent minilights or superlights and spoke to the previous owner and he said they were a rare japanese whell but cudnt remember what they were called i done a bit of research and found out that mine might RS watanbe but not sure yet
