    nice first post!!

m3 evo gearbox's rear subframes and diffs are shite!! if you are putting in m3 stuff for a track or drift car only use 3.0ltr stuff as they are far easyer to get diffrand ratios of diffs!

I know that for track use the 3.0 bits are stronger alright, building an m3 based race car myself. I got the impression this was for a road car - and they seem to be asking for the evo box and diff.

For an M3 engine, gearbox & propshaft, loom, ECU&EWS and maybe a rad you would be spending around 1000-1500.

    To do it properly...
You'll need the front suspension and brakes, rear axle, diff and rear brakes too.

To be honest, considering the costs to get all the bits and fit them... I'd nearly just sell the 318iS and buy a good M3 Evo unless the iS is abit special to you or something.

Nothing wrong with them as you can use a 3.91 cwp and you'll have the 210 casing diff then to make a sweet LSD that'll take far more abuse than a 3L one. You can get 3.46, 3.63 and 3.73 ratios for them too.

188 casing diffs are only an advantage if you want to use a ratio higher than 3.91

    3L bits aren't stronger!

So, the 3L box is no stronger than the 3.2? I have heard of 3.2 boxes breaking all over the place. Fair enough on the diff.
