I plan to keep it for spare mate, as i wouldn't get what its worth to be in bits.

The hub rings have broken up, not sure of the correct terminology for it but its fucked still works and selects gears, just struggles to get into 3-4 at higher RPM which is a pain for what i want.

i think loosein to a worse driver is ha ha
Yeah i have spent a fair bit on the engine build, but i've been collecting the bits for the last 2 years, so when its finished shortly i will have my dream SR20, then i will be a happy man :)
would love to do something like that my self.a proper build with no shortcuts but hate missin events ..............r33 would be the safe bet for the money

Oh I understand what they are worth:-) savage box I would recommend looking into getting parts for it more if you are keeping it! Where did you try for parts?

Rebuild that r34 box would prob be your best bet, failing that r33 box, or go r154 box.. twin plate clutchs are box eaters either way

i THINK mike deane is running 550 at the fly and he is running a r33 box
as far as i know he has only broken 1 in the last 2 years or something like that which is good going!!
especially as he was running SUPER sticky silverstones on the back

300zx seems to me as your best option, running strong horse power myself(sr22 also),broke aload of sr boxes,1 rb box and a greddy 6 speed dog box,but the 300 box seems hard as diamond,i did do syncro mesh in 3rd at last event(hard to get into gear) but that could have been due to millage, and have been known for this problem, and nissan bought out a modified part which sorts that,so hopefully that will hold it,so thats what i would recommend,(also running 4.1cwp and its all 3rd gear drifting so would suite yourself

Well from the sounds of it, It would seem it would be silly not to give an R30A a go before going for a more expensive option.

This guy was using a BMW box from an e36 M3 with the bellhousing from an s14 welded on,its for sale too, might suit, not sure what these boxes can take.
He was only running 350bhp and 430nm of torque so not sure why he had it.
Apparently good for 4th,5th gear drifts??

    Heres the thread:http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drif...te-norway.html

These are the box of choice stateside, stuck onto everything from SR's to Nascar V8's.

Obviously not cheap but ridiculously tough and awesome to drive with.
