reasons why i don't like the nistune is i have yet to see a car been used for even near a year with the nistune
now im not goin to say that no one has,but no one i know has!!
im not looking to start an argument on this it is my personal prefrence to go pfc as ive seen the results when i see a car making gud power for a couple of years on a nistune then i might warm to them but most people using them are running near stock setups and anyone i know using one on a car with gud spec are not seen the kind of power that ive seen cars using the likes of the pfc make!!!
nw at the end of the day the power fc is still shit as engine management gos but as its already been said its about wat kind of money you ave to spend!!!!
and with the diff of buying a pfc and the nistune been fuk al id ave the pfc over it!! i understand der been no knock ajusment on the pfc but at the end of the day unless ur using a shit tuner this should not be a prob!!!

as for the power fc,ive seen cars run for years on one map on the pfc
for example kev kendrgans s13 running for 3 full years on the same stepup at 380bhp with no probs wat so ever!!
Once again I don't want an argument but I know a few people running nistune and they have haven't had a problem, I think there is a fella in PD (Shane Healey?) with a 400bhp odd SR running a nistune.

On the other hand one of my friends had a PFC mapped and the map didn't even last untill that evening.

shane o'sulivan your thinking of,but think he had his fair share of engine trouble maybe im wrong, but that would be down to the tuner not the ecu,

ive seen the same with a few pfc with not holding the map!! but like i said when ive seen a car running gud hp on the nistune for a few years then my opion of them may change and like i said its my personal preference to use the pfc

is the 180 ur speaking of a red one on a stock kit??? tink hes in novise class!!

Kevs 13 is a prime example of a car running so long....! But thats a lucky egg i reckon....! Shane O Sulivan runs nistune and hes the only pro i know in prodrift doing so....! To be honest like i said earlier i don't really rate eaither....! As Dan said above there the cheapest on the market so ya pay peanuts ya get monkeys....!

Im not slating them altogether they do the job for a quick cheap fix....! What dose really really put me off them is the fact that they are out so so long and never once updated....! Now in this time look at the amount of vearsions the likes of hks and motec and the like have upgraded while the pfc still stays the same....!

    Thats just my 20 pence....!

last year dan he told me he was using a nistune when i was up with him,so id say it was in a good while, but he did run into some engine issues,he told me he blew 2 or 3 at that stage,so he has been through a few so,as for detonation he using e85 so his tuner must have gone mental on timing, sound like tuner is at fault not ecu,
the power fc does not retard timing when detonation/ knock occurs but if the car was mapped properly it should not run into this issue as dan said

i tink shanes biggest prob was he did one road map a few years ago and got a few rounds out of that engine then after dat he just kepth changing engine witout mapping them!!! he really did get savage heartship with it!!! some mint bus do!!! didn't know he was running on e85!!!
