Don't want to sound like a prick but that is wrong Dan. The nistune is a daughterboard that is soldered into the stock ECU to make it possible to adjust all the parameters of it. They will actually see knock and do something with it if it gets to a dangerous level. A PFC won't do this.

Nistune is just as good as a PFC IMHO. I have not seen a nistune losing its map yet either, have seen a number of PFCs doing this.

    what is nistune... http://www.nistune.com/faq-general.php

when people say "chipped ecus" most think of those pre programmed chips you can get and stick in. Nistune is fully programmable and has better knock protection than the pfc.

Not much point in spending 2k on a ecu if your aiming for 250bhp. Both the nistune and pfc seem well upto the job for making good reliable power. There are other ecus a hell of a lot better but its all down to money at the end of the day.

    i like stuff

Sorry but he isin't, it is not a generic chip. To suggest it is shows a lack of research.

If you were disappointed with it, it was much more likley down to your tuner than the ECU.
